Construction of the Noden Causeway - 1960's

At the time of the Grand Opening of the Noden Causeway, a Souvenir Book was created to show all of the people of Northwestern Ontario how much of an achievement it was to complete the finishing link for an uninterrupted 1,056 miles from Toronto's waterfront to Rainy River. The Noden Causeway, three and a half miles in length was the longest pre-stressed concrete project of its kind in the British Commonwealth. Click HERE to see the entire Souvenir booklet.

Border Cities Helicopters Construction Limited

In 1960 George Armstrong and Clifford Hacquoil of Hacquoil Construction Ltd. purchased a brand new Bell 47G-4A Helicopter and formed Border Cities Helicopters Construction Limited. They engaged in the aviation industry and had contracts with Ontario Hydro and Ministry of Natural Resources of Ontario.  In this particular video, the helicopter was working for Marlin Perkins of "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" on a moose tagging operation near Geraldton Ontario.
